The collection contains letters of the Tryon family of North Yarmouth, Maine. Most of the letters are to Cora B. Tryon from her children and her sister who appears to have lived in Medford, Massachusetts. The letters discuss daily events and family matters. A few items belonging to Cora's husband Samuel A. Tryon are also included, as well as a few letters to Carl R. Tryon and George M. Tryon, sons of Samuel and Cora Tryon.
